WOW its been forever since I have posted anything, and a lot of thing have happened.

First off Garrett arrived on March 1. After 2 long weeks of having contractions we finally got him here. We went in twice for false alarms. Once at 36 weeks and the other at 38. We would get to the hospital having contractions and as soon as they got me all hooked up to the monitors the contractions would drift away. Man I was so frustrated and so uncomfortable. The day before we had him my doctor striped my membranes and that made the contractions even harder. We finally went in on March 1 and they hooked me to the monitor and checked me. I was dilated to a five and my water sack was bugling. They normally would have sent me home but I had a really nice nurse and Doctor that said nope she is staying. I was happy to be finally past the triage. They got me to my room and the contractions really started coming. I got my epidural by the way the best epidural ever i still had full control of my legs and felt pressure but no pain. And soon after they broke my water and 1 1/2 later we had a baby. Garrett was born weighing 8 lb 5 oz. and 20 inches long. Compared to Carson's Delivery the time was about the same but enjoyed Garrett's delivery a lot more. I don't know if it because I knew what was going to happen and how it should feel or if it was my doctor and the care we received I'm not sure but I would totally do it again ( maybe lets wait a few years). Garrett is a really good baby. He doesn't really cry unless he is hurt, but he will grunt and squawk. He is doing two four hour stretches during the night. We feel so blessed to have two good sons.

Carson turned two on April 2. We went to Amanda and Jarred's house. He had so much fun playing with his cousins. Carson is really starting to use more of his words. It seems like he says a new word each day. Its really exciting to see him learn new things. Carson is all boy he loves dirt, cars and motorcycles and anything with a ball. He loves his brother and is really good with Garrett.

Baby Garrett 32 Weeks

Today we had a 3d ultra sound. I was fun to see our baby again. He was being a stinker and wouldn't let us get a good profile pic of him. The ultra sound tech even brought our a little vibrator to use to try and get him turned, but with no luck.

The first thing she said is he has hair. At least some peach fuzz. The arrow on the picture is pointing to it.

This is his leg. He already has chubby legs. I love to see rolls on my baby. :)

Christmas

This year for Christmas we traveled up to St. George. We had so much fun. Santa came over to the Johnson's house and Christmas eve eve. Carson wasn't so sure about him at first but then realized if he wanted a treat he had to see Santa. The pictures below are in the wrong order. I can't seem to figure out how to upload them right. Oh well

Christmas morning. If you look close Carson found his cousins tricycle and decided that was better then what Santa brought him.

This year we made homemade Cinnamon roll. Carson loved to help mommy make them.

We also went to the Mesa Temple to see the Christmas light. Wow we think the Mesa Temple light display was amazing. We went with Amanda and Jarred and Kids. And Jarred's brother Josh and his family. It was great fun. Compared to the SLC light I liked them better because we didn't have to dress up in our winter coats and still freeze our bums off.

We didn't even take our coats!!! LOVED IT.

Happy Halloween

This year for Halloween we went to the ward dinner and the trunk or treat. We had a lot of fun. Carson was very good at handing out the candy.

Carson was the football and Cody and I were the refs.

Thanks to my mom for doing our shirts we got many complaints saying wow we couldn't tell those were hand made.

Fall Fun and update

Carson and I have been having a lot of fun on some adventures. We went to touch a truck. Where all these big Trucks, tractors, and Fire engines come and then we can climb inside and have a look around. Carson was funny he wanted to look at them but want me to hold his hand. Until he saw and petted a dog that was there and then he thought it was OK if mom isn't holding my hand. I think he had fun. We just wish daddy could come with us. It is always more fun with daddy.

Not sure about the fire engine.

We had the opportunity to go to The Mason's ward camp out. We had fun, but then again wished daddy could come with us.

It was really cold in the morning but we still wanted to be outside so what does I do puts on Carson coat and hiking boots over his PJ's and away he went go.

I caught this picture to late because he was just lying there looking up at the trees. but then he saw me with the camera and got up.

What a big helper he was. Although he never left my side, and cried and woke up the whole camp when mom had to go to the bathroom.

Little update on the family.

Carson: He starting to talk more and is signing more and please. He is going to nursery but cries almost the entire time. He loves to read and read his truck book and make truck sounds. He also makes car sounds when he is playing with them on the floor. He is so much and so glad he came to our family.

Ashley and baby:We are doing good. The baby is 18 week ago. I'm feel the baby move all the time. I was called to be the Secretary in the primary. That has sure kept me busy but its good.

We find out the sex of the baby on the 26Th of Oct. I'm hoping its a girl but I'm good with either one. Leave a comment on your guess of whether the baby is a boy or girl

Cody: Has been super busy with work. He went to Dallas Texas for a week and finished the Management Training Program. He is the official assistant manager now. Cody was called to Priest Quorum adviser. Cody has to work every Saturday so we miss him on the weekends when all the fun seems to happen.

All in all we are doing good and like it here in Prescott.

Summer Fun and Lake Powell

We have had a really fun summer so far.

I do have a funny story that have happened this last week. One we were at this lynx lake (one of the many lakes here) and when we first got up there. We forgot to get cash so we could pay the self service fee. So we drove down to the ATM at Costco then drove back up there. When we got there it was a five dollar parking fee and all we pulled had was a $20. So Cody and I searched in the car and found $4.05. So back down the canyon to the Gas Station to get change. At this point Cody was very frustrated and wanted to go home but I insisted that we go back up there and throw rocks in the lake and just have fun as a family. So we went back up there and paid our five dollars by the way we could have paid with a check but didn't notice this until we had five dollars cash. So then we went down to the water and started to throw rocks in. We hadn't been there five minutes and Carson fell and rolled into the water and got all wet and muddy. So we stripped him down to his diaper and had to take some pictures of him by the sign that said no swimming or wadding.

On Sunday Carson was so tried at church and he would not got to sleep there at all. So when church was all done we put Carson in the car seat and not a mile down the road he was asleep. So when we got home we took him out and tried to wake him because I really didn't think a nap at 5 pm was a good idea. So anyway he wouldn't wake up so we just laid him on the living room floor. This what church did to Carson.

For the Fourth of July. My parents came down to spend time with the McDaniel's and Masons and we had a lot of fun. On Thursday Mom, Dad, Cody, Carson and I all went to the Worlds Oldest Rodeo. Then Friday Mom and Dad went to Amanda and Jarred's to be with the kids and then they drove Amanda and the kids to our house for the rest of the weekend. On Saturday we got up early and went down town Prescott and watched the parade. Cody even got off work for a couple of hours to be with us. The Parade was two hours long and we all got sunburn and were tired so we got pizza and went home for naps before the ward BBQ. Sunday Jarred and Jarred Sister Lacy and His Brother Josh and his family came up and we had a nice dinner and then saw the Prescott fireworks. It was a busy weekend but We sure loved the Company and fun was had by all.

LAKE POWELL 2010

This year just Carson and I went to Lake Powell with Amanda and Jarred and their family. Jessica and her two boys and my mom and dad. It was fun we got to play in the sand and just hang out with family. The weather didn't turn out the best but we made the best of it. A big downer was the day before we left Amanda jumped off the house boat and hurt her foot. But we had fun.

This is a sand castle that the three of us made. Carson loved the sand.

New Chapter of our Lives

I know most of you already know this but I thought I would update the blog. We have moved to Prescott AZ because Cody accepted a job with Sherwin Williams here.

Cody got the job offer the day he graduated and the store in Prescott needed him immediately so we came down to Prescott on May 6 and started to look for a housing. We found this great two bedroom two bath Duplex with a two car garage and a fenced backyard. One thing I have noticed is no one has grass. So instead of grass we all have rocks which is weird to me be but fine.

Cody started work on May 10, as a Management Trainee and will be the Assistant manager at the Prescott store in 6 weeks. Carson and I went back to the house in Layton to pack up and get everything ready to move.

We moved on May 20. We had so much help on both ends of this move. We are so grateful for all the help. We are so happy to be together again it was a long 10 days.

Sorry I don't have any pictures of the new house, but maybe soon.

Graduation

Cody graduated on April 23 from Weber State University with his Bachelors in Business Administration. We are so proud of him and all his hard work.

We had a lot of family support to get us through this part of our lives. We are so thankful to the Lord for all our many blessing. We look back on the last year and we are amazed how much the Lord took care of us.

Easter egg hunt

For Easter this year, we had a big Easter egg hunt. Carson got a couple of eggs and all the kids got to much candy and couple of prizes. The kids that attended this years Easter egg hunt was Jadyn, Breckyn, Ashlyn and their cousins Preston, Ashley and Payton. We had a lot of fun finding the Easter eggs

Carsons 1st Birthday

Carson turned 1 on April 2. Wow he has grown up to fast. These are the people that came to Carson's birthday party, Grandma and Grandpa McDaniel, uncle Mike and Aunt Danielle, Cousins Jadyn Breckyn and Ashlyn.
We had an early party with Grandma and Grandpa North the weekend before because they were going on a trip.
Carson did a great job eating his cake. We are so proud of little man.

Wow its been forever since I have updated this thing. Just to update you on our family.

Carson is almost one, walking, taking a few steps by himself, his favorite toy is a tonka truck named "chuck" and a texas long horns hat. He is now getting into everything. Like today he opened my dresser drawer and started to pull out all my shirts. He loves to play with the toleit paper and my tampons but he only gets to do this while I'm getting ready for the day.

Cody is working hard and hopefully will know soon about meeting with the regional mangager in denver. He is also graduating with his bacholors on April 23. Yeah only a month away and no more school for at least a couple of years until he goes back for his MBA.

I'm just hanging in there for the ride. I went to St.George a couple of weeks ago for the weekend just me and Carson. We had so much fun. It was a nice getaway and change of pace for us.

We have been having fun this last week. Cody is done with school until Jan 5 2010. So we get to see him all the time now.

This picture was taken at Grandma and Grandpa Norths house. We were showing Carson the Christmas tree and all of grandmas fun Christmas things. As you can see he is almost crawling. He is now moving backwards and gets very frustrated when he can't get something in front of him and all he can do is move a way from it. Only a matter of time before he figures it out.

This is one of those time where we just decided to bath Carson instead of tying to clean it up with a wash cloth. What a fun mess.

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun. This is Carson and his Cousin Zackary. Carson thought it was funny.

This year for thanksgiving i made apple pie . I did it from scratch and had a lot of fun trying something new.

7 months old already well almost 8 months now

Sorry I'm a little late posting Carson at 7 months old so here is a couple of pictures and video of Carson and his daddy playing.

This picture was taken when he was watching baby Mozart while I was vacuuming ( this is the only time I let him watch TV. We really try not to let him watch TV)

Grandma Tina and Aunt Danielle came and visited us. It was fun to have them here. We had fun shopping and talking.

Carson now is trying to crawl. He can scoot backwards and turn himself around on his stomach. He has also tried to pull himself on stuff. He loves to stand up while your holding his hands.

He is laughing more each day. He still loves to give kisses and hugs. And mom loves to kiss those cheeks and cuddle her baby that is growing to fast.

Carson and Cody love to play and Cody loves to make his son laugh.

Cody is starting finals in a couple of weeks and he is now registered for his last semester of college for his bachelors degree. I'm so proud of him that he has continued to work really hard and has kept going to school even when we have had challenges that have made it difficult. We are also very happy that I'm able to stay home with Carson and to have Carson in our home.

Halloween and stuff

For Halloween this year we went were invited to the Campbell's for dinner and games. We ate yummy homemade cafe Rio salads or burritos.
Cody and I decided to dress up for Halloween last minute so the only thing we had was our last three years costumes. Which were rodeo Clowns but this year we didn't paint our faces. Carson had a cowboy onies and so he was our cowboy.

My parents took us on a drive up Little Cottonwood Canyon to see the pretty fall colors.

We flew to Phoenix the first of this month. To see Makayla be baptized and Zack blessed. We had so much fun. I just forgot to take pictures of all of it. This picture is when we were on the plane ride. Carson did amazing the whole trip.

Carson is getting to be a good jumper. He wants to say hi.

Carson is also loving his baths and loves to play with his bath toys and likes to splash around.

For our birthdays we went to St. George, We had a really fun time hanging out with family. I went to Tuacahn's AIDA and Cody got to watch the BYU game with a bunch of guys. We had some yummy food. The weekend went to fast but we had so much fun.

Holy Cow has summer gone by so fast. We can't believe Carson is four months old. We are so happy he chose us to be his parents. Carson is now laughing and cooing. We are always doing silly things to see if it will make him laugh. Carson has gone on his first boat ride and it didn't bother him at all he even took a little nap.

This morning he had his tummy time and didn't cry!!! He normally doesn't like his tummy time but we still do it. He hasn't figured out how to roll over with out help yet but is very close.

Its official my son sucks his thumb just like his dad.

6 weeks old and an update

Carson is now 6 weeks old!! He is now sleeping most night 5 hours. He is staying up more during the day which is nice but he sometimes is really fussy. He filling out more we can see the start of thunder thighs and double or triple chins.

Cody finished another semester of college and got really good grades. We are so thankful that he has the opportunity to go to school. He also started summer semester this week and starts his internship June 1.

Cody did great on his first mothers day. He gave me a picture frame so we can finally put up pictures of our son and, also a gift certificate. Then surprised me today with some flower just because. Oh Man I have a great husband.

Carson is one month old, he has gone on his first road trip and did really well, He loves to go in the car. We really couldn't ask for a better baby.

I got Cody and Carson sleeping together the other night. Th cutest thing Ihave ever seen. Man I love these two.

Carson was so content than I started taking pictures of him. He did start to get fussy so as you can tell cause of the binky in his mouth on this picture. But I love how these pictures turned out.

I'm going to develop this on it is so perfect and put it on my wall.

2 Week Dr.'s Appointment

Carson had his two week Dr.'s Appointment today, he weighs 8.7lb a pound bigger from birth, and grew one inch.

Carson loves to lay on any ones chest especially his dads. He often will fall asleep to dad rubbing his back and holding him just like this. I haven't gotten the picture with Cody and him both asleep but I will.

Carson gives some pretty funny faces and we have been trying to get them on camera. Its funny to watch Cody and I sit on the couch and just watch him with the camera pointed just at his face waiting for the perfect picture and of course he is asleep in most of these pictures. Usually when he is a wake he is eating or crying and those aren't the greatest time to snap pictures.

Carson was born on April 2 (right on his due date) at 7:45 am. He weighed 7.7 lb and 19.5 inches long. Here are some pictures of him at home. We forgot to take pictures at the hospital with our camera but my mom got a lot with hers. I will post them later.

Cody wanted a sports theme for Carson's room, we got this great deal on his bedding. Only $40 for this Six piece crib set. We are going to put some pictures of little boys playing sports on his wall.

Seven Weeks until Carson's Due Date. We are trying to get his room ready. Here are some of the pieces of furniture that we bought for his room. All of these pieces are used and we got from different people and places. We spent around $350 on all of these pieces. We thinks we got an amazing deal.

On Monday December 1, we went to our target ultra sound appointment. At this appointment they take measurements of the baby's spine, brain and leg bones to see if he is growing and make sure that his on target for his due date. Here are some of his first pictures.

He is moving all the time and Cody now gets to feel him kick almost everyday. I can sure tell that he is getting stronger because his kicks and movements are stronger now then they were a couple of weeks ago.

Cody has some exciting news about his future. He as been accepted into the Sherman Williams intern program for the summer of '09. We are so excited that the things are falling into place. And Counting our blessings!

We found out on Friday Oct 31, that we are having a boy. Cody and I are both way excited. I will post a picture later on. I know most of you have asked for a belly picture so you will have to wait a little bit longer :)

On Friday we went got our pumpkins, went to dinner at Red Robin and then came home and carved our pumpkins. We had so much fun. Here some pictures of us and our pumpkins. Cody carved the one with the Texas Longhorns logo and Nike sign "Go Horns" Ashley carved the one that says "Trick or Treat." I know its hard to tell what it says.

So a little story: While I was carving my pumpkin, which was suppose to spell "Trick or Treat", I found that I had made a mistake. I actually spelled "Trick or Tret" instead, but I was so tired that I didn't realize it until I turned it around to show cody and he just started to laugh. I some what fixed it and turned the "t" into an "a". Moral to the story always outline what one is carving!!!

Here is the most current picture of our baby. The Doctor said everything is looking good, measuring right at 14 weeks. She checked the heart beat and everything sounded good. On Halloween if the baby is good we should know the sex.

So last night I felt fine until dinner, and then during dinner at the dinner table I threw up just like that. No warning or nothing. Well I had to clean it up by my self cause Cody said"if he smelled it he would throw up too". Anyway I just thought it was weird that I would throw up at 13 weeks I thought I was suppose to feel better or something. Any way I feel really blessed to only threw up once... so far.

Cody got me a digital camera for my birthday, So we have been taking random pictures.

Cody had an opportunity to go the BYU game with Ashley's Dad and Brother on Saturday.

They had seats in the press boxes, and got to eat BBQ with free drinks. They had the box next to Bronco Mendenhall's family. They had so much fun it is all Cody has talked about since Saturday. Oh yeah and by the way BYU won 44-0. YIPPEE ( when Cody heard he was going to the game he insisted he had to buy a hat. which you can see hear in this picture, he is wearing his free shirt they game him too.)
